Set in San Francisco’s Saint Francis Wood neighborhood, this project is a true storybook transformation. The scope evolved from a furnishing project to a more layered restoration of the 100-year-old Tudor home after discovering how much of its original character had been lost in a previous build-grade renovation. We took a selective approach to reimagine the house, aiming to restore and reintroduce key architectural details and the home’s original character.
Having previously worked with the client on two homes, the established relationship allowed the design process to feel more intuitive and personal. The interiors lean into the house's storybook quality through botanical wallpapers, patterned velvets, jewel-toned rugs, warm woods, and a mix of vintage and contemporary pieces. Thoughtful renovations include restoring the original mahogany stair system, replacing windows throughout, renovating the primary bathroom, and making lighter cosmetic updates to the kitchen and bar. The combination of these things brought the home back to its Tudor roots while giving the interiors a younger, more playful sensibility; the result feels romantic and collected
