Outer Sunset Residence

In San Francisco’s Outer Sunset neighborhood, we fully renovated this post-war home for modern-day living, while honoring its original character. We completely reimagined the floor plan, moving the kitchen to the first floor and the bedrooms to the second to create a more intuitive flow for everyday life.

We wanted to pay homage to the home’s history while infusing new materials and organic, modern elements. We specified all interior finishes and furnishings, including a beautiful Breccia Capraia marble for the kitchen countertops and island, which pairs beautifully with Audo Copenhagen counter stools. A Noguchi pendant anchors the dining area, where custom cabinetry and a built-in banquette provide additional seating and storage. A simple, organic color palette is layered with bolder interior trim, natural wood, and ceramic elements. Throughout the home, new is balanced with vintage lighting, furniture, and artwork.
